Yumiko wandered to the beach after leaving Jack's.
'What happened to me back there?'
"It's called jealousy..."
'What do you mean Saika?'
"Hehe you'll figure it out later.

"Hey! What the hell was that!?"
TK stared at Yumiko. He just got to Japan, and bad stuff was starting to happen.

She looked over at TK.
'Oh no, it's that guy again...'
She looked back at the water.
"It was nothing..."

"I'm TK, it's nice to meet you."
TK smiled, knowing that if you had a pleasant manner, most people would open up to you quickly. He stuck his hand out, expecting a handshake.

She shook his hand not really smiling.
"I'm Yumiko."
She said, trying to hide the sadness in her voice, and failing.

"Are you Jack's new girlfriend?"
TK looked her over.

Yumi thought for a moment, and figured that that's what you would call her.
"Yeah, I guess so..."
She said as she looked back at the water.

TK stared out at the water.
"Jack had a wife at one point. I knew them both very well..."
He didn't know why he was brining this up now, but he'd already started, so what the hell.

This was news to Yumiko so she was suddenly intrigued. She looked over at TK with eyes that didn't potray as much sadness.
"Really? What happened to her?"
She knew after she had asked the question that she would regret knowing the answer. She knew that the answer would only amke her feel worse than she already did.
"You really care about this fellow don't you?"
Saika had been with Yumiko for a very long time now. She avoided getting close to her for that if she did, it could be the cause of her death, but lately Saika found it harder to not care about Yumiko.

"She..."
Thomas sighed.
"She died in an accident."
Thomas continued staring out into the ocean.
"Jack thought she was cheating on him, and he used a cursed notebook to arrange for her death. I have no idea what would cause him to do such a thing, normally he's calm and precise. He'd have checked the details before he'd have done anything. I managed to take it off of him but it vanished from the precinct."
Thomas shrugged.
"I wish I knew what the hell was going on with them. He always kicks me out of his life when something bad happens, then drags me back in when the coast is clear. I guess that's what it's like being his friend..."

"Do you..."
She thought about how horrible it would be if that's how Jack ended up treating her. Would she be able to handle it?
"You know that you will go back to him... You love him. That's why you're jealous."
She knew that Saika was right but would she be able to face Jack after storming out like that. Besides that she remembered what she was going to ask TK in the first place.
"Do you think he'll do that to me? Push me out of his life then bring me back later."

"How the hell would I know?"
TK shrugged.
"We'd better get back. I'm hungry, and the hotel food sucks."

"I just... Nevermind..."
"You need a bit more time alone. If you want to go back and freak out again then leave with him, if you want to get over this then stay here a bit longer."
'I'll be able to control myself... I think. Worse comes to worse I'll take myself out of the situation again.'
"I guess that's for the best, you don't want to worry anyone..."
Yumiko turned towards the streets.
"Okay, let's go."

"Do you want to go back to the hotel with me? I gotta cancel my reservation. I just remembered!"
He scratched the back of his head.
"I can be such a ditz sometimes...."

"Uh..."
"It gives you a chance to take more of a break... Besides, Jack is probably still busy with that transvestite prostitute."
Saika smirked a bit. What Saika had said pissed Yumiko off and Saika could tell.
"No, I think I should go apologize to Jack and his tra-I mean guest."
