Hitori unlocked her hotel room. She placed her belongings on a table and waited for TK to show up.

TK entered the room with his laptop and a duffel bag.
"Hey. I'm going to get changed. Be right back."
He went into the bathroom and came out a few minutes later wearing chibi-fox pajamas. Complete with ears.
"Much more comfortable.

She giggled a little at his pajamas.
"Very cute."
She said smiling.

"I'm sure."
TK went stright to his laptop and started working on something.
"How long have you been at the Kira hunting thing?"

"Uhh..."
She thought for a moment trying to pin point how long it had been now. She had some very clear memories of what had happened, but none containing when it had happened. She took a guess.
"Off and on for a few years now. How about you?"
She looked over at the full grown man who was sitting there in fox pajamas. It gave him a sort of childish look. All though he seemed to have a serious look on his face, the outfit didn't make him seem mature at all.

"What? Is it my tail?"
TK stared back at her.
"I've been doing this since about...3 years ago."

"Okay, so we both have at least some experience." She said smiling. "We should get some sleep, and then work on this early in the morning." She wasn't sure what TK's work methods were like, but she found it easier to work on anything in the morning. Maybe it was the big gas ball on fire that helped her wake up and get to work.

"Kay. Night Hitori."
Thomas continued on his laptop.

((Timeskip?))
Hitori woke up early that morning. She yawned quietly, being sure not to disturb TK if he was asleep. She rubbed her eyes and sat up.

TK was curled up in the corner, drooling. He opened one eye, then the other.
"Good morning."
He sat up and stretched, then checked his laptop.
"It's still downloading..."
He closed it and disconnected the AC cord.
"And it's wayyyy too early in the morning. How're you?"

"I'm..." She thought about it for a second, since she was still waking up and all. "...still waking up, you?"

"Not fully alert yet."
TK stretched.
"Want me to make coffee?"

"I can do it."
She stood up and stumbled a bit as she walked towards the coffee maker. She started making coffee. "So, what's still downloading?"

"Some stuff."
TK yawned.
"Google earth, some tools to make my life easier, that kind of stuff."
