Thinking and being lazy.

Jack had entered into a local pub-cafe with his investigator coat and hat on as he sat down at the bar, taking his hat off and setting it at his side along with his glasses.
"I'll take a beer, please..."
He said with a faint tone of voice, as if he had just woken up from a deep sleep, or hasn't slept in awhile, one of the two...
As he got his beer, he would sit silently and slowly drink away at it, ordering another one every time he had ran out of the last, sighing faintly each time as he gazed at the empty bottle just before ordering another.
As Jack sat silently, many thoughts filled his head, all linking to the Kira investigation... He wanted to know who Kira was, but he also just wanted Kira to disappear in some ways.. and in other ways, he wanted to know who Kira was just to shake the freaking guy - or girl. . . -'s hand. But he felt deep in his heart and knew that Kira had to be found and stopped. But he needed to think of how he intended to find Kira in the first place...
Back at the office, he heard rumors of some kind of video floating around that was taken at the local movie theater, that may hold evidance on who Kira is. But he hasn't heard much on it, and he also can't get his hands on the video because he hasn't been assigned to this area for very long.. so he hardly holds any authority.
Either way, he was determined to figure this out for himself... But first, relax and try to drink himself under the table.

Ruby walked in a cigarette hanging from her lips, the fresh air had done her head no good perhaps a drink would do the trick.
"Might want to slow down there." She said to the man at the bar as she took up a seat. She ordered a coffee with a shot of Kahlua in it. Removing the smoke from her mouth she took a sip of the tainted coffee. Glancing at the man she thought, 'Reminds me of an old black and white film about coppers.' Mentally chuckling at the thought she slowly sipped the coffee hoping the caffeine would rid her of her headache.

Jack decided to keep from making any form of eye contact, he simply continued drinking as he sighed. His eyes had a baggy drag to them, as if he hasn't slept for a week.
"I plan to drink myself drunk... and for some reason, Alcohol doesn't have as much of an effect as it once did..."
He slightly mumbled aloud in a relaxed yet exhausted tone, he would then pull out a carton of cigarettes and lash one out of its carton as he picked it further out with his teeth, he then put the carton back and pulled out a lighter as he attempted to light it, but his lighter was running on empty.
"Ah hell..."
He faintly mumbled as he gently smacked his lighter against the counter, simply letting his cigarette rest in his mouth as he then slightly glanced over at her.
"So... what brings a lovely woman like yourself to these run down parts...?"
He asked in almost a sarcastic yet serious tone.

"It may not effect you mind but it will still fuck up your body." She remarked about the alcohol. She pulled her lighter out of her pocket as she flicked her ashes off the end of her smoke and then slid the lighter over to him.
"I just walk and my feet take me places," she retorted in answer to his question. "Where I end up is a mystery even to me. I like it that way."

Jack stared down toward the lighter, slightly looking away as he picked it up and clicked the flame as he then hovered his cigarette over the flame, letting it light as he then slid the lighter back toward her, taking a large draft from the smoke then setting it aside then sighing faintly as the smoke poured from his mouth.
"My body was as good as dead 15 years ago... to hell with it now..."
He said as he laughed softly and faintly as he finished his sentence.
"Allowing your feet to take control is all fine and dandy, up until they lead you over a cliff.. or into a place where not even the light of the purest star can reach you..."
He mumbled aloud, almost is a sympathetic and sorrowful tone.

"Well then that would be an advencher on its own." She said returning the lighter to her pocket. "What beings you here?" Ruby asked then finished her coffee waving to the bartender for another.

Jack would drink down another beer, casting the bottle aside as he ordered another.
"Investigation business... I was just recently transferred into the Kira investigation..."
He slowly took out his identification, slowly flinging it open as he slid it over to her.



"Judging by your appearance, I'm going to take a wild guess and say your no ordinary citizen... Its not often you find someone of your looks and obvious capability around poorer parts like this, simply because you were allowing your feet to 'guide' you places... I'm going to guess and say your a cop, or another investigator.. I can also judge this based on the toy your packing there... unless your just a trouble maker..."
He would take another nice long draft of his cigarette, to the point if it reaching his finger tips as he then put it out in the ash tray, releasing all the smoke out of his mouth.
"So... I ask again... what brings you this way...?"

A smirk passed across her lips, "Judging by the fact that you share the same name as old man winter i would think Jack Frost isn't your real name. And if it is i could do well to keep it hidden. Especially if you here to investigate Kira." Sliding the ID back she sipped her coffee slowly before getting to his question on why she was here. "I am here for the same reason as you, but i'm not a cop. Privet investigator as it were."

Jack simply smirked as he began drinking his new bottle of beer.
"Honestly.. I don't know what my real name is anymore... I've had to change so many times for the sake of lives.. and my job... Its outrages..."
He would drink his beer some more, to the point of almost emptying it in one go.
"I am Gregor T. Yorr, Bobbie J, Jalut, Aron N. Hilton... and many... many more..."
He said almost in a depressing tone as he finished his beer with his next drink, setting the bottle aside. He has officially gone through 13 bottles of beer. He had ordered another, but the bartender coldly refused his order. Jack being used to such rejection, simply sighed and relaxed at the table.
".. But I'm pretty sure your right... Jack Frost isn't my real name... But.. it seemed fitting at the time.. so I decided to stick with it.."
He would slightly glance over toward her.
"So... what's the dirt we have on Kira so far..."
He was obviously risking people hearing, but he had already made sure the no one but the bartender was within the bar. The place was as quiet as a ghost town, the only thing that was being heard were sounds from outside, and the faint radio that was playing in the background of the cafe.

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Disusing information about a case with a man i just met is not on my list of things i normally do. For all i know you yourself could be Kira. Waiting for me to slip up." She finished her coffee and shook her head when the bartender went to refill it. "You seem like a honest enough guy but it doesn't take a genus to know when your life is on the line risks are not to be taken lightly. And for all you know i might be Kira."

He would sigh faintly, rubbing the back of his head.
"You honestly think Kira spends his free time drinking himself dead at a pathetic cafe like this..."
He would shake his head faintly.
"And if you are Kira, then I suppose I'm a dead man. But I highly doubt Kira would be packing around a piece like that one you have.. as well as make public appearances in cafes and such... If you indeed are Kira.. your taking quite a leap of faith.."

"Or is that what i want you to believe?" She asked trying to keep a strait face but in the end broke out in a quiet laughter. "Trust me after a while you'll be just a paranoid as me thinking that everyone and their mums and Kira." She realized her let her smoke burn out she discarded it into the ashtray before lighting another. "My name's Ruby by the way, Ruby Red." She held out her hand to him.

He wouldn't even take the time to look toward her hand or even shake it, he simply sat there, his eyes looking almost as dead as a corpses. He simply rested his arms against the counter, leaning forward as he seemed to have dazed off into a deep thinking process.

Ruby with drew her hand and rolled her eyes. "That dead look on your face means you've had to much to drink." She said and took a long drag from her smoke. "Information on Kira is hard to find mostly because i keep deleting it. I'm Trying to keep that power out of peoples hands, most people want to find kira to stop him others want that power for themselves." She stood up leaving money on the table for her coffees. "Good luck Mr. Frost." She took a final drag from her smoke before butting it out and turning to head for the exit.
