Thinking

In the darkness of the night the playground was empty just the way Ruby liked it. Even if she never had a real childhood the park always seemed to comfort her. breathing out clouds of smoke she made her was on top of the monkey bars with little effort. Sitting atop the cold steal she slipped her hands into her pockets a cigarette hanging from her lips. Her eyes were closed by her mind was anything but shut off. Many thoughts ran rapid her in mind truing it into a freeway. The trains of thought seemed to smack into each other making connections helping her understand the bigger picture.

She put her hands over her ears the noise in her mind making her insane. Once she started her freeway of thought it was hard to stop and one day it would be her undoing. She opened her eyes snapping out of it and removed the burnt out cigarette from her lips. Throwing it to the ground she replaced it with a fresh one and looked up at the sky sighing.

Tsuchi was cutting through the park to the street beyond and she noticed a faint sihouette against the night. A street lamp a couple feet away threw the face into relief and she could recognise the person as a girl. Tsuchi didn't stop walking, but slowed her footsteps as she watched the girl out of the corner of her eye, wondering if she was just another drunk or stoner that was trying to find their way through life by the means of a substance and the moon.

Rubys eyes shot up at the sounds of foots steps. She look at the girl who was passing by and wondered if she was spying on her. Seeing the girl watching her from the corner of her eye Ruby waved smirking. 'I see you...' she thought questioning why the girl had slowed.

Tsuchi chuckled quietly and gave a small wave back. She stopped and stuck her hands in her pockets.

Ruby stood up on the monkey bars and jumped down her feet hitting the sand lightly. "Nice night for a walk eh?" she asked the girl mimicking her movement and placing her own hands in her pockets.

"Very nice night." She glanced from the starless sky back to the girl. "The stars are lovely."

Ruby laughed, "You must have great eye site." she said pulling a smoke out and lighting it. "Why is it your out so late?"

Mattias walked into the park, making pretty much a straight 'B' line towards the two women who were standing in the park. He walked with a posture that exhibited a powerful status, and seemed to have grown a few inches. He wasn't smiling anymore, and was wearing rather common looking clothing. He was about 30 feet from the two, when he said, "Fancy seeing you here, beautiful night though, isn't it?" Clearly directing the statement towards Ruby.

Tsuchi pulled out her own cigarette as she looked from the other girl to the approaching male. She recognised him but didn't do anything to acknowledge that fact.

Rubys eyes narrowed at him, "Any time seeing you is anything but beautiful." She said her voice dripping with venom.

Tsuchi couldn't make out the words the girl spoke but she noted the narrowed eyes and heard a tone. She laughed. Clearly Kisame wasn't welcome here...

"Goodness, so hateful." He leaned his head back, his hair -which was also noticeably longer- moving over part of his face. "I actually came to give you another chance. You can either one, get arrested, or two, get out of the Kira case all together. You're charges will be dropped, should you choose number two. I won't even consider you existing, and you can walk free. Make your choice now, because I've grown tired of dealing with you and your little friends."

Her lips turned up in a smirk, "Scared?" she asked and took a drag from her smoke letting it blow out slowly from her nose. "Why else would you be threatening me? and you must be desperate to do it in front of someone else."

Mattias wasn't smiling, like he usually would at such a comment. "Call it diplomacy. I want to end things in a clean manner before they get out of hand." Mattias then turned his head to Tsuchi, "I've only seen her once in my life. Not to be offensive, but I could care less what she hears." He then looked back at Ruby, "I'd rather move on to more important things, like Kira, and you're getting in the way of me doing so. Give up, or die in prison." Mattias frowned, "Do yourself a favor, cut your losses and walk away."

"What loses? Your worried that i'm to close so your trying to off me." She said putting her hands on her hips her smoke dangling from her lips. "How about this, you admit you blew up my apartment and i'll come work for you."

Tsuchi looked Kisame up and down. Should tell Nadia 'bout this guy in case she did something with him, made a deal or something...

Mattias started laughing, probably the most genuine laugh he'd had the pleasure of feeling in a long time. "Let you work for me? Ha! You hate me, probably even want me dead. I'm not stupid, and I wouldn't blow up your apartment unless I needed to." He smiled again, but not the same blind smile he usually exhibited, but a one of narcissism. "What exactly could you be close to anyway? You're homeless, should the statement about your apartment be true. I gave you two choices, you either walk away free, or get arrested. You can choose from either of those."

Ruby lifted her hand shooing him away, "I'm not interested in anything you have to say then." She said her voice holding the tone of boredom. "Go away, there is no way you can do ether of your threats."

Mattias raised his eyebrows, honestly surprised. "Really? You're sure? I kind of figured you valued your freedom more that that." He put his hands in his pockets, a surprised look still on his face. "Last chance."

Tsuchi narrowed her eyes. Even though she had only caught bits and pieces of their conversation she didn't like the direction it was going, especially for the girl. Tsuchi stuck her hands in her pockets, her right hand closing around her gun.

"No this is your last chance," She said her eyes shifting over to him, "I am not someone you want to make an enemy of. I dont see why your trying to get rid of me so fast only reason i can think of is your afraid i'll get to Kira before you. So i suggest you cut your loses and withdraw your threats."

Mattias hung his head down to the ground, smiling, "No, you're wrong." He looked up at her, his face obviously pained, "The only reason I'm here is because I don't want you to die. I could have easily just kept going on, and put my next plan into motion, getting rid of both you and Spedster, leaving only Beyond." He hung his shoulders, swallowing some of his pride, "Ruby, you remind me too much of Mira for me to kill you or take away your freedom. Do me, and yourself a favor, and just give up."

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Would Mira give up? if i remind you so much of who ever she is then you should know my answer. I gave you the option to work together, but you just cant handle me." she said with a smirk, "I've been doing this my whole life what makes you think i'm going to slip up now?"

He looked at her, and started smiling. He thought, "She is SUCH a bitch, the exact reason I can't stop looking for Mira. It's almost intoxicating." He looked at her, "If you work for me, you have your first mission. Get rid of Beyond. I do not care how, but if you honestly want to work for me, then you'll do it." He straightened his back, "Lest you want me to drown in sorrow over your grave."

She smirked, "Well well well look who came around to the dark side. Well i might take some time i still need him for something but soon enough he will be out of the way." She said and walked over to him her eyes locked on his, "Did you blow up my apartment?"
