Appearance: Yoshi is of Japanese nationality, has a height of 5ft 6in, weighs appproximately 165 lbs. Brown eyes, Black hair that is cropped at both sides and smoothed back with hair gel. He is a big fan of sweatervests in a variety of different; as the material is both warm and provides suitable flexability. To complete his outfit he wears grey slacks and brown loafers, he usually carries a pad of paper and a ballpoint pen in opposite pockets of his pants; as the pen may leak.

Personality: Yoshi on the surface is a confident, idealistic guy who exhumes a positivity in his work shared by few. Always on the move on a unhealthy diet of coffee and well, coffee in the pursuit of his daily leads that support his rent. Yet, because of duplicious activities Yoshi privately feels stressed about his life and interactions with people in general. Thus, he keeps few hobbies and friends outside of his facade he plays daily.

Bio: Originally born in Okinawa, Yoshi always had dreams of becoming a journalist however growing up in poverty hindered him greatly. After graduating high school he reached out to the local yakuza in desperation and was granted the money for his education but doomed himself to debt for a near decade after. Yoshi transitioned from school to the workplace while maintaining two other jobs to pay off the mafia. Alas, when his father got sick Yoshi couldn't handle the extra monetary pressure and nearly resigned himself to a quick suicide.

He was spared again by the mafia. Going from clerk to editor to crime columnist had an advantage, after all.
In exchange for divulging information and disinformation to and from his peers, outing snitches and warning about police raids that passed through his newspaper Yoshi's family was taken care of and for once Yoshi was flush with cash. The guilt and two-facedeness was getting to Yoshi, but who should come along but KIRA.

Yes, KIRA scared the crap out of the mafia. Yoshi as well, to a lesser extent.
Able to finally relax at his job, with all his resources looking for a mere person among the whole population, Yoshi appreciated that like his nickname; he would take his time.

Ring, Ring

"Humh?" Reaching into the folds of his dark green sweatervest Yoshi opened up the phone and pressed Enter. "Hello?"

"Can you talk?"

Yoshi sighed inwardly, it was Takada wanting to know again if Yoshi had discovered the mysterious identity of "Kira." when not only the Japanese Police Force, the F.B.I and the world's greatest detective "L." had not or at not least not let the public know. Ducking his head to look quickly under the adjacent stalls of the bathroom Yoshi felt comfortable to risk it. "Yes, what is it?"

"Any news on Kira?"

"You might want to brace yourself.... No." Yoshi said with a sly grin. He then flushed the toilet to tune out Takada's yelling.
