House guest

After putting the key in the lock she glaces back at Sped. "Your not allergic to cats right?" She asked opening the door a black tabby was perched on top of the side table that stood by the door. "This is Ninja." She told Sped patting the cats head.

He looked at Ruby then at the cat. Spedster was an animal lover even if those animals don't love him. Aww~ what a cute cat~. Ninja such a cool name~ He took the cat and kissed it on its nose, atleast he tried because the cat bit him on his nose. Oww...Ouch! But...but even so such a cute cat~

Ruby laughed and walked to the living room, the apartment had a simple layout. a living room on the left with the kitchen on the right. The bedrooms were on the left side of the apartment a door on ether side of ruby's sofa. And the bathroom took up the back of the apartment along with the balcony who's doors were in the kitchen. "This is the living room/kitchen." She said and then opened a door to the left. "This is the spare room, that you will be using," She left the door open and pointed to the other door. "That's my room never ever ever ever ever and i mean never ever go in there. Bathroom's over there." She said point to the door at the back of the apartment. "No smoking in here, if you want to smoke balcony you must go."

He followed Ruby and listened closely. The house wasn't anything special but still better then living on the street. He looked around his room and put his backpack there. So the basic rules are: Don't go into you're room and no smoking in the house. Anything else I should know? Oh and you have any beer?

"You should know that the main reason I'm letting you stay here is because there is a 5% chance that you are Kira. You go away the killings stop, you come back they start again." She stated and then looked in the fridge. "There is beer but don't get drunk i don't want a repeat of last time."

He laughed at the tought of being Kira and stopped when he remember the last time.
Me? Kira? Please I'm not smart enough. But I wouldn't mind to be him I've got a lot of enemies. And maybe he's my fan he kills when I'm here he stops when I'm gone. He laughed. But anyway I'm gonna get a can of beer and get settled in in my room. If you need anything you ask me. Oh and I'm a pretty good cook so we can take shifts.

"This new Kira doesn't seem all that smart ether." She said then walked over to her room. "I'll be working knock if you need anything. There are towels and blankets in the closet in your room. Make yourself at home." With that she went into her room. 'Even L is a suspect due to the fact the killings start and i find him at the police station but then again he is L so maybe just a 0.1% probability.'

He nodded and opened the fridge, took the can of beer and went into his room. He took the blankets from his closet and put it on his bed. The room had a table and a bed which was all he needed. He took out a notebook and turned it on, found a socket and connected it into electricity. He also took out some books some were new, some looked worn out. I wonder how will this work out.He grinned and started working in the computer and looking at the books which were mostly occult ones having in them various themes of death and gods and whatnot. While Spedster was travelling he heard a lot of stories about Kira and about how he kills. And he concluded that Kira's weapon is propably something inhuman not from this world. And so he worked on any book he found whether it was looney talk or not.

~Next day~

Ruby enter the apartment after work Ninja was sitting on the side table as always. She smiled at the cat and pet her before heading into the kitchen Ninja fallowing at her heals. She reached into the cupboard and pulled out a can of tuna opened it and put it on the floor for the cat. Grabbing a bottle of beer she opened it taking a swig before she headed into the livingroom dropping her coat on the dinning chair on her way. Ruby plopped down on the sofa beer in hand she flipped on the tv and began flipping through the channels for something to watch.

Spedster was still in his room when he heard someone at the door. At first he was too lazy too look but he thought that it might be someone else then Ruby and investigate. When he opened the door to the living room he saw Ruby sitting on the sofa. Hey. Spedster said still yawning. Where were you?

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Work, its 4 in the afternoon, and your still in bed." She laughed and took a swig of her beer. "I got a job at the school as a sub, today it gave me a suspect." She grinned devilishly.

He burst out laughing. A teacher, really? The poor kids you're probalby destroying they're little minds. And I'm a nocturnal creature. He sat on the sofa next to her. Now the suspect part, got me interested.

She glared at him, "I'm a great teacher," She said turning her eyes back to the TV. "The students are the problem." She added as she resumed channel surfing. "And why would i share any information with you? You have on more then one occasion said you would like to get your hands on Kira's power. I am not one to make that happen."

He laughed Suuure you are. You've propably killed a couple of them already. He laughed again. And uhmm....I've uhh got a change of heart I want justice not Kira's power....You're not buying it are you?

"Not for a second." She said with a smirk. "I would never killed an innocent student, if any of them were innocence."

He smiled Well it was worth a try. He looked at the TV and became more serious I kinda missed such worryless moments. In our line of work we really don't have enough moments like this. That's why we should hold it in our memory for a whole lifetime.

"Enjoying the little things is all you can do." She said with a sigh. "Sooner or later we all die, Kira or not we all meet an end."

He looked at the wall for a couple of seconds I wonder.....If Kira's weapon can take life can he give it? Something like eternal life?

She shook her head, "No way, something that takes life can't give it."

He sighed Love for example can give life, but it can also take it as easily.

"I doubt Kira's power is love." She said chuckling into her beer.

He smiled at that happy that Ruby cleared the mood. Oh you never know, while I was travelling I heard a lot of interesting things. For example some people believe that Kira is a super mutant. With special powers to kill people just by looking at them. He laughed at his own statement.

"Kira must be fuck ugly then." She finished her beer and set the empty bottle on the coffee table.

He smiled at the tought Well then we can stop counting ourselves as Kira then. But some other say that he really is god. And he came to give divine judgement. Which makes him dangerous, people believe that he is god and that he can give eternal life to those who believe in him. He looked at the TV and said with bitter anger FUckin' fanatics.

"People belive a lot of shit, because they don't know anything." She scoffed at the stupidity of the world. "Kira is a person with a mental retardation, killing won't bring peace. That's why war is stupid too."
